About Us

Lions Clubs International is the largest and most experienced vision screening organization in the world. In South Carolina we have over 130 clubs that are dedicated to improving vision health. Vision has been our foremost global cause ever since we accepted the challenge to be “Knights of the Blind” laid down by Helen Keller at our 1925 annual convention. We employ the most sophisticated screening equipment and methodology to determine if your child has an eye problem that should be referred to a vision specialist. Our clubs currently screen approximately 100,000 children per year in South Carolina, but we would like to do more.

Vision ’22 is a South Carolina Vision Campaign designed to increase the amount and reach of our current screening capabilities. We hope that you will join us in our mission to identify every student in the State that is visually impaired.
