Getting Started/Club Resources

  • Contact your District Vision Screening Chair
  • Appoint someone in your Club to be Vision Chair (Could also be Service Chair)
  • Identify and train Lions and/or other volunteers to screen following proper procedures and protocols
  • Make plans to secure or borrow a device for use when screening
  • Work with facilities to host screening events
  • Schedule a screening time/date with your local school
  • HIPAA-compliant permission forms will be needed for non-school related screenings
  • Track and report screening results and service hours (see data reporting below)

HOW TO BORROW A VISION SCREENING DEVICE

  1. Send us a request form that can be found under the Contact us/Request tab
  2. Contact a local club that currently owns a vision screening device
  3. Call your District Vision Screening Chair or District Secretary

    • It’s the vision screening chair’s responsibility to report the results of every screening session by accessing MyLion through the LCI websiteand on the LIONSKIDSIGHTUSA Website.
    • Please contact you District Vision Chair (Hope or Melinda) to assist you with accessing these websites and entering your data.
