What We Do

Lions screen children to find conditions we can help correct!

SC Lions use the Hill-Rom Welch Allyn SPOT and the Plusoptix devices to screen children as young as 6 months old. Both devices will screen for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, detect risk factors for amblyopia, refractive errors and unequal vision between the two eyes, and potentially even more serious issues such as cataracts and eye cancer. Both devices are highly rated, and partner with the Lions International KidSight USA Program.
